He's the winemaker and owner of
thumbprint cellars ,
a boutique winery in Sonoma, CA. His passion for winemaking began as a hobby in college and turned into a family-owned business in 2002.
He is so passionate about the quality of his wines that he personally assures his thumbprint on each bottle to represent the unique identity and artisan quality expected of his wines (seriously!).
Just to get his wines in front of a broader audience of people, Scott has to go through layers of middlemen ー who all take a cut. And throughout this process, the return that Scott may see on his wines is minimal compared to buying directly from him.
