Diversity in wine was a huge point of conversation in 2020, and for good reason. Winemaking is severely underrepresented; less than one percent of US wineries being BIPOC owned or have BIPOC winemakers.
Change happens when we, as a society, actively communicate the need and take steps to put those practices into action. Supporting minority-led wineries helps build economic vitality for their businesses, uplifts the community, and promotes continued innovation in the wine industry.
We are grateful to have the opportunity to make it easy to discover minority-led wineries on Vinebase and look forward to sharing their wines with you! Be sure to check out the winery pages for more info on the incredible people behind these bottles.
