Rare Varietal
In wine, there's what's known as the 6 Noble Grapes which are the common varietals you'll find on every grocery store shelf: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling. Just a step outside of these classics and you'll find a whole group of familiar and well-loved varietals like Grenache and Malbec. But step outside of the comfort zone a little bit more and you'll find rare varietals like Grüner Veltliner, a standout alternative to Sauvignon Blanc, or Petite Sirah, a surprisingly blueberry smoky peppery red that brings delight to a Cab-drinker's palette.
We've found that passionate winemakers + rare varietals are a combination that can't be stopped. Explore rare varietals below!
