For almost 25 years, the Koehler family has dedicated its collective heart and soul to Koehler Winery, and today their property is celebrated as one of the most picturesque and popular stops on the renowned Foxen Canyon Wine Trail. Since acquiring the farming estate in 1997, Kory Rydberg Koehler and her husband Peter have been committed to producing premium wines and offering them at affordable prices. Their 48 year-old estate vines have been meticulously nurtured by Vineyard Manager Felipe Hernandez since Day One.
Felipe is himself a bit of a legend in this storied region, starting out as a field worker and maturing into one of the most skilled and knowledgeable vineyard managers in central California. The decades-long relationship between the Koehlers and Felipe is just one of the elements that help to cultivate the family atmosphere on the property and among the team, which includes 19-year veteran tasting room manager Dan Zurliene and winemaker Trace Brueske.
Derek Koehler also recently took a more prominent role in the operations of the family winery. Having literally grown up on the family estate, Derek is intent on learning best practices in winemaking and farming.
