Palomar Mountain Cabernet Franc, 2019

Produced by Acri Wine Co.

Not your typical Cabernet Franc! Light and elegant. It is bright with notes of raspberry and spicy cinnamon like a Hot Tamale candy. 85% Cabernet Franc, 10% Syrah, and 5% Merlot

"SoCal #CabernetFranc? Indeed and even from San Diego County! SDLove from Bren and Katy, two small production winemakers. With autumn πŸ‚ here nothing beats Cab Franc for fire πŸ”₯ pits bbq πŸ– or cozy evenings by the fire. With the varietal firmly established on its own right and out of the shadow of big brother Cab Sauv, it’s the right time of year to give it a look πŸ‘€ if you haven’t yet included Cab Franc in your wine game. This 2019 vintage sourced from Mount Palomar area offers medium ruby color with deep red fruits and spices like sage black pepper and a hint of turmeric with hints of wet stone minerality with developing characteristics. Dry and medium [+] acidity on the palate with medium intensity flavors of same with medium tannins, high alcohol (14.3 ABV) and a medium finish. A delightful wine, very good with potential for aging 5-10 years"
