Pinot Noir Docker Hill Vineyard, 2014

Produced by Bee Hunter Wine

"Bright, all red, red, red… Nose is riper, but all red fruit. Alpine strawberry, potpourri spice box, cedar, Indian baking spices, allspice, clove. On the palate, sweet on the entry, smooth mouthfeel, also strawberry jam over yogurt. Long - sweet fruit - finish. " - Andy's notes, 10/2020

Winery Favorite

The Docker Hill Vineyard is the plateau that overhangs the Oppenlander Vineyard in Comptche. It is above the fogline and very windy. The vines struggle to find their "footing" and the berries are small and packed with power and tannin. The story goes that Andy found out that a grower negged on his contract for the Docker Hill Vineyard, so the owner contacted Andy and an amazing relationship was born. The 2014 is Bee Hunter's first Docker Hill offering and a favorite at our tasting room in Boonville.
